Our Facilities

Our flexible booking allows you to book our entire inside and/or outside space as fitting for the nature of your requirements.  Inside we can offer the hire of our Main Hall, Committee Room, Kitchen, Audio Visual Equipment, Stage, Tables etc.  Just get in touch to find out more

 

 

Please note: There may be occasions where the Main Hall and the Committee Room are being used at the same time, so some ‘shared’ use of the kitchen might be required.  If you need exclusive use of the kitchen for your booking, please confirm this when booking.

Before booking we suggest you arrange a visit to ensure that the facilities are appropriate for your planned activity.

Main Hall

Our Main Hall is a great space, providing ample room for any function.  It can seat around 300 people 'theatre style.'  It boasts lovely high ceilings, facilitating great acoustics, making it the ideal choice for a wedding, concert or performance. Wedding and seated functions can accommodate up to 250 people. Accessible directly from the halls side glazed doors, is an enclosed tarmacked side yard - ideal for younger children. Baby changing and disabled toilets are available.

Kitchen

There is a large, fitted kitchen with a cooker, microwave, and a fridge-freezer.  The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery for up to 80 people, including an urn, kettles, glasses, teapots and water jugs.  Kitchen access via a bar hatch can be opened into the main hall  To accommodate outdoor events, refreshments can be served through accessible windows.  A utility room next to the kitchen provides extra space.

Please note - we are only licensed to heat food ; not for the full preparation from scratch.  If you wish to serve alcohol, we can arrange a license which can be purchased for a small fee.

Stage Hire

If you are planning to host a performance, band or show, it is possible for you to hire our portable stage facilities for your event.  Please include this request in your booking as we will need to arrange it to be assembled for you for your booking and taken down afterwards.

Meeting Rooms x 2

We have 2 meeting rooms that are each available to hire - one light airy one at the front of the hall known as the Committee Room and another room known as the Backstage Meeting Room.  The Backstage Meeting Room is a large space, located to the rear of the building with the option of direct access to the main hall, or separate#, private corridor access; it can be used as a 'backstage' area for performers. These meeting rooms offer smaller private spaces for committee meetings or smaller gatherings.

Sports & Outdoors

Our facilities are designed for sporting events, indoors and outdoors.  Not only do we have a huge Main Hall, our village hall sits in huge recreation grounds surrounded by the hills of the Brecon Beacons.  We have indoor changing rooms, which also provide direct access to the playing fields.  There is also a table tennis table and badminton nets that can be hired for use inside the hall.  

Our recreation grounds offer huge sports fields which can be used for football events,  Our site boasts 2 high-quality tennis courts, available for hire from the Llangynidr Tennis club (affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA)); hourly hire or annual subscriptions are available.  We have a small skate park and our new play park is currently under development and will be opening soon.

Audio Visual Hire

We offer free wifi from our local supplier Beacons Telecom.  It is possible to hire our large free standing TV which can be connected to your own laptop to use media, host presentations etc. for your event.  Please include your requirements in your booking requiest.
